Well, I just wanted to bring another accessible fighting game similar to Mortal Kombat. Killer Instinct, which was released in the r-cades, super Nintendo, and N64 is pretty accessible too.
This game plays similar to MK and also has finishing moves like, fatalities and Ultra-combos. My favorite Character is Folgar. Oh, and the moves are performed similar to Street Fighter, with sweeps. I know it's an old school game, but I still recommend it. Check it out!
I am near a pro at the N64 version of this game, as it's the most accessible one. My best character is Glacius, hands-down.
For any of you folks who know the genre but not the game, KI is a rock-paper-scissors type engine, with a combo system built on starters, linkers and enders. It sounds a lot meaner than it is, but a basic example: say my Icy Uppercut can hit you while you're performing your Cyber Slide, but your Eye Laser will hit me out of my Icy Uppercut. That sort of thing. Each character's got about five moves, and then a few super-moves for more advanced/daring individuals, with different properties. All jumping sounds are accessible, all characters have unique voices, and all attacks with the exception of your basic kicks and punches and things are very unique. It's quite simple to get good at but the learning curve is a touch steep if all you like doing is button-mashing. Also, some of the button combinations are difficult or long or both, particularly with folks like Fulgore, Orchid, Jago and Kim-Wu.
I remember playing it in an arcade once, it was awesome!
so i not sure about killer instinct it come the same time with street fighter 4
if killer instinct can play with ps3 and pc i think is cool

well, I have both k i and k i 2 for the arkades but i can't get k i 2 to work for some reason. however k i works just fine. and if you try to play me at it i'm wanring you now you better be good otherwise yo ass aint gota chanace against me. i use sinder a lot on k i and on k i 2 glashious and jago. but anyway it's like i said, you play against me yo ass is grass so you have been warned.
The original KI I'm not quite so good at, but if I had the facilities to practise on, I think I'd be pretty good. Never did, though.
KI Gold (the N64 version) is another story.
To clarify for the poster before the last one: Killer Instinct stopped being made in 1997 I think, it's a rather old gaming duo, and there really were only two of them basically.
That's true. However, there might be a third installment in the series on the X-Box 360.
